List Three Things You Are Grateful For and Why
I don’t know how to start this article because I’m too shy to tell everyone what I like and let out the things from my head. But first of all, let me introduce myself. Hello everyone, my name is Azhar Fariz Daffa Risqullah. I am currently a student at a university in Jakarta and majoring in English Literature. So that’s my short introduction. I write this because I joined the 30-day writing challenge, and on the first day, I would like to talk about the three things that I am grateful for. Honestly, it took me two months to write this to think about what I’m thankful for in my life. Thank god finally found the answer to that question. So without any overdue, these are three things that make me grateful.
1. Internet
We cannot deny that the internet has a significant impact not only just on me but on everyone peoples on this earth. We can find out many things with the internet, from small items to huge things. For someone like me, moreover, I am part of a big gen z in this fast and advanced internet era. I am often curious about what happened in the past, such as how the French revolution occurred or reading the stories of the prophets and the miracles they have, all of which are available in full and can be enjoyed for free by people on earth. The most crucial part is that we can be connected by people from all over the world. In this modern era, we no longer need to wait for a long reply to a letter or collect a lot of money just to visit family in another country. We can contact the people we love with one device with very great technology. We can send messages, or we can use the video call feature. We can also make money by becoming content creators through the internet, or we can add new friends from other countries. That’s why I’m grateful that the internet exists in the world but remember to use it wisely!!!
2. Public Transportation
Maybe all of you are confused why i pick Public Transportation let me explain why I’m so grateful public transportation exists in this world. First, as a sluggish person to drive my own car, I am very thankful for public transportation. Moreover, nowadays, we can use online transportation from the house’s doorstep. The price is relatively cheap, so I just sit there without thinking about where to park my vehicle, and honestly, I feel like a king when I ride online transportation (kidding XD). Then the second is that public transportation is very easy, especially since I live in a big city, so public transportation is not a rare thing and the city I live in is probably the most congested city in the world, so with public transport, I can enjoy the traffic jam just sitting without think of something else.
3. Friends
Here it comes the cliche one..
Humans as social beings must communicate with other humans to build a relationship. If the connection is getting closer and more intense, besides that, you can share happy and sad stories together. That’s what we called friends. I have lived for 20 years. I am so grateful that I got very good friends and understood each other. Of course, there are many conflicts in friendship; that is precisely what makes the bonding stronger. When my grandmother just passed away, it broke my heart, and I had no sense of living anymore. I didn’t tell the news, friends, but they suddenly invited me to talk about many things as if it was fate. It made me entertained and forget the sadness that I have they are such good friends. in this article, I just want to thank you for having me, I am delighted to meet all of you with the journey of smiles, tears, anger that we have been through. I’m sorry I can’t buy expensive things or give anything away. I hope our friendship will always be intertwined until I stop breathing. the choice to be friends with you guys is the best thing I’ve ever done…
